Counselling is a safe and confidential space where you can explore difficult emotions, thoughts and situations. It can be used to work with issues like stress, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, despair, or trauma. I have a particular interest and expertise working with both grief and with addiction issues.
The counselling I offer focusses on what you need to realise your own abilities and resources to deal with what you are facing. I believe we all have within us the desire and capability to grow and flourish, no matter how dark things feel, if we receive the right support. Typically, during an hour’s session we talk and explore what is going on together; I don’t give advice or make judgements, I support you to understand your situation and what you might find helpful. While there is no expectation of a particular number of sessions, counselling tends to work better over a number of months, rather than meeting for one session or a few, so I work in an open ended fashion.
I offer counselling in my rooms in Chisbury, online or by telephone, with 60 minutes costing £65. While I recommend working weekly at the same time, at least to start with, I understand this is not always possible and can offer flexible times during the day. Please contact me to discuss what might work for you.
I am an accredited registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
